The things which were included in the box were ,
-2 x 4GB Memory Modules of Kingston HyperX Beast 1866MHz
A Closer Look at the Beast
The first thing you will notice is the design of the Beast . It Awesome the finish of the heat spreader is amazing and i have never seen such fine quality on any RAM in the market , Also the design is amazing as well . The Beast is also lighter in weight as compared to the predator . Also its kind of low profile so it looks quite neat and classy in the system .
The HyperX beast logo is printed on the heat spreader on the front of the module . Also you can find the sticker which shows the timings and the speed of the module on the right side of the memory module .There is one thing which is missing in the module is that the PCB could be finished in Matte Black color . But Still it is very attractive .
The Heat spreaders on the HyperX Beast is a bit different from predator , There is a bit more spacing between the spreaders so that the more air can pass through to cool the PCB and Chips more faster .
Benchmarking and Testing
The rig we will be using today for testing Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB 1866MHz Memory Kit is ,
- Intel Core i7 3770K CPU
- ASROCK Z77 Extreme6
- Kingston HyperX Predator 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory
- Kingston HyperX 3k 90 GB SSD
- Seasonic 1250w Gold PSU
- Gainward Phantom GTX660TI Graphic Card
The benchmarking software we will be using are SANDRA 2011 , CineBench and 3D MARK 11 . The compiled results are shown below in graph ,
As Far as the overclocking part of the memory goes , We first selected the XMP profile of 1866MHz and then did the benchmark above . The Voltages were 1.65v . For overclocking the voltages were left a 1.65v . In order to overclock the frequency , We Pumped up the base clock of our CPU and Lower Down the Multiplier to stay on stock speed . But the maximum frequency we could get out of this Memory was 1942 MHz . But it could be different in many cases .
In the End ( Conclusion)
HyperX is the leading brand of the Kingston , Which means you will be getting the amazing speeds and also the built quality in one component . Each of the HyperX product has unique feature in it which is interesting to see .
