Packaging and Unboxing

 

The Kingston HyperX 3K  comes in two colors , Blue and Black . The SSD we will be reviewing today is black color . The box is very simple as regarding to packaging . But i love the way kingston manage the details on the box . In the Upper right corner , you can see the speeds mentioned by the Kingston of this particular SSD .

Also at the bottom the warranty and other features are mentioned including latest Sandforce LSI controller .

 

 After opening the box , we found the packaging of the SSD . The SSD is well placed in black form which is very protective although SSD can handle harshness . The packaging is very unique but it should be like this for a enthusiast hardware . Also included is the manual .

 

Also included in the box is the 3.5″ to 2.5″ mounting tray , In this way you can just mount the SSD on the tray and then fit it in you computer chassis if it does not support 2.5″ form factor drives . Also included are the screws for mounting the SSD.

 

 Closer look at the SSD

 

 

Kingston HyperX 3K 90GB is the most enthusiast version of there SSD line and we have to admit the color choice is amazing which means a lot to gamers and hardware lovers . The black , grey and white contrast give it amazing look . Also the logo of the HyperX at the top left is engraved in the material and shines with the reflection of light .

 

 

The back of the Kingston HyperX 3K 90GB is same as the other SSD has . You have 4 mounting screws at the bottom to mount it onto any 2.5″ support bay or onto provide tray . There is power connect and SATA III 6.0Gb/s connecter at the back of the SSD to get blazing speed out of this .

In the end ( Conclusion )

 

In the end we are going to say that it is one of best SSD’s in the market . Also it is top of the line SSD from Kingston which is specially built for gamers and enthusiast . Overall the SSD is very good in performance the boot time from Kernal to the Desktop of Window 7 is about  10 seconds with the addition of some applications like Word , Excel , and Adobe Photoshop it goes to 17 Seconds which is still pretty good as compared to normal HDD .
