SSDNow V300 comes in a new design big box with a lot of features mentioned on the front of the box . Note that this is the Desktop SSD Upgrade kit but you can get Laptop Upgrade kit too . Also the capacity and the Read and Write speeds are mentioned on the front as well . Also shown that it is covered by Three years warranty by Kingston and Driven By Sandforce Controller from LSI .
On the back side of the box , There is nothing much . Just showing the accessories you will be getting with it .
After unboxing the the box , Following items were retrieved . Note if you buy laptop upgrade kit these items will vary as it is desktop kit .

Also included inside is the installation DVD and the Free Software that allows you to clone your current OS onto the new SSDNow V300 .
Closer Look at the SSD
SSDNow V300 is standar 2.5″ SSD but there is one small difference when you first hold it in your hand . It is a bit sleeker than the other SSD which feels very nice . Also you can note that it resembles alot to the SSDNow v200+ which we have reviewed here ago . It is good to have low profile SSD , So you can also place the SSD in the laptop if you wish .
Like Previous SSDNow this SSD is also powered by Latest Sandforce controller 2281 but there is a different thing inside that is this time the Kingston has used its own IC’s chips all over the board .
Morever you have standard , SATA Power and SATA Data cable connectors on the back side of the SSD .
Benchmarking and Testing
Let us see that what is the difference between the Previous SSDNow V200+ and this new one .
The rig we will be using today for testing Kingston’s SSDNow V300 120GB SSD is ,

- Seasonic 1250w Gold PSU
- Gainward Phantom GTX660TI Graphic Card
The Benchmark test we will be running are ATTO Disk , AS SSD and CrystalDisk Mark . The results are mentioned below

The V Series of the Kingston’s SSD are meant to be valued SSD in the market which mean it not made for enthusiasts . So keeping that in mind this is very good SSD for those who are upgrading for standard mechanical HDD . This will surely gave them a huge increase in performance .
Also as you can see in the benchmark , The V300 is almost ahead of the V200+ in Read Speed but somehow it can not well perform when the test comes to incompressible Data transfer . But still it will not a big issue for average user . As it is designed to perform as all rounder .Also the consumer will be getting a nice package for upgrading as it comes in three kits . One is Desktop which we just reviewed . The Second is Notebook and the third is combo containing both desktop and notebook . In the end ,Without any doublt the
