5 Things We’ll See When 3D Printers Take Over The World

When was the last time something truly changed the world? The internet was probably the last big thing that became an integral part of our lives. Now it’s brought us many joys, but also a few scary moments. 3D printers will probably be the next big thing that turns the world on its head, so let’s look at a few of the things we can expect to see in the next few years.

Debates on copyright issues

It will be very easy to print out an exact replica of a designer product and you will be able to sell it for a much cheaper price. You have got to ask yourself who will be held responsible for this? Will the 3D printer manufacturers end up paying fines out of their own pockets? It’s very unlikely the people who print out the goods will be caught, especially if they’re printing and shipping them from foreign countries.

Will you buy products or designs?

Manufacturers spend a lot of money keeping plenty of products in their warehouses because they need to have some in reserve. This ends up costing them a lot of money and they might not need to do it anymore. What if each company had their own print shop in the mall? You could buy a product design instead of a physical product and you could print it out yourself. You would see lots of these shops everywhere and people could build powerful companies by simply selling information.

We will start to live longer

3D printers will help you live a little bit longer because they’ll be able to print out human tissue. That means if you have a heart problem they will be able to print you some new arteries. In the future we will probably be able to eliminate the need for organ donors and poor people won’t need to sell theirs on the black market. Once they start printing out limbs it will help people with disabilities live a much better life too.

Everything will become cheaper

If you can print something on a 3D printer you won’t need to spend a lot of money. A shop will obviously need to buy printers and have technicians on call, but after that they just need the material that will be used in the printer. A huge amount of money will be saved on delivery costs. We’ve already mentioned storage space won’t be an issue anymore. The prices will keep coming down and you might not need to work as much, which is great because the 3D printers will steal your job anyway.

The world will get more dangerous

Millions of good things will happen, but whenever there is good you know danger is not far behind. We don’t live in a perfect society and some people are a little crazy. They will see a 3D printer and they will imagine chemical bombs or plastic guns. They will do everything within their power to cause destruction and make statements. The good will outweigh the bad, but you should still look out for it
