By default on Windows 7, 8 or Windows 10 operating systems and even Windows XP, when we create a new Shortcut to be able to quickly access a folder or run a certain program, Windows will automatically add “-Shortcut” after the Shortcut name of the program that we just created.
This makes many people dislike, including me ? and secondly, it dislikes the aesthetics of the Shortcuts a lot. So in this article I will show you how to delete the word “-Shortcut” when creating a new Shortcut on Windows 7, 8, 10 easily and fully automatically. Delete the -Shortcut word when creating a new Shortcut on Windows
+ Step 1: You press the key combination Windows + R
to open the dialog box Run => type in the command regedit
=> then press OK
to open Registry Editor

+ Step 2: At the window Registry Editor
, you find the key Explorer

+ Step 3: In the right frame, you find a value named link

In the absence, you can create a new value and name it link
offline, create by right-clicking on any empty space => select New
=> select Binary Value

+ Step 4: You double-click this key to open the Edit Binary Value window. Next, replace the default values from 10 00 00 00

There are two * .reg files:
- Remove Shortcut Text.reg will remove the word “-Shortcut” from the shortcut name.
- Remove Shortcut Text (Default) .reg will restore the word “-Shortcut” to the default.
