Best Gaming Mice of 2011

We selected the mice we evaluated in best gaming mice 2011 based mostly both on their good critical reviews and positive user evaluations. The mice reviewed here have different weaknesses and strengths, but you should be able to find something which fills your requirements and your wallet.

What makes a gaming mouse different from a normal mouse is that it must quickly and correctly relay your user input to your computer, it has to be customizable to your preferences and it needs to look and feel good.

Razer Deathadder

This mouse is my number one pick as: best mouse for gaming 2011.

Previously, I’ve tried a number of mice. Most of them were uncomfortable, difficult to use, and generally not to my taste. However, the Razer Naga changed all of that. The very first time I tried it I was pleased.

The Naga offers 4 unique features which I found particularly useful. Most notably, it feels and looks great. The edges are of a glossy feel with rubber on the top. The feel is organic and soft in my hand.

2nd, the 12-button keypad is both functional and well-designed. When I clicked the buttons, I could feel that they where being clicked.

Third, the mouse has blue lights that are eye-catching and sleek.

4th, the compact design is made for my desk. The Naga is so small that its operations are smoother than any other mouse I’ve used in the past. It is a handy tool.

Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision

Where the Naga is complicated and potent, the Deathadder is straightforward exact and inexpensive.

This mouse is great value for money. The left/right clicks on the mouse are perfect, just sensitive enough. When I rest my hand on the mouse, it is comfortable. Also, the you can move the Deathadder with only slight pressure. That’s perfect for when I’m playing a game online. The cord is much better than what I have seen in the past as well. The software that accompanies the mouse lets you adjust the speed of the pointer. This is a lot more advanced than mice from a couple of years ago.

All in all, I could not be more pleased with the Deathadder. This device provides comfort, control, and precision, which are all of the features a mouse needs to have.

Razer Vespula

It is not worth using a good mouse and then using it with a cheap mouse pad.

The Razer Vespula is a plastic mouse pad. I was hesitant at first, but when I started using the mouse, I could not have been more pleased. To improve the control this pad gives you they made it very thin, it’s far better compared to the much softer mouse pads I had previously. The pad is quiet, and it remains firmly in-place on my table. The Vespula has a speed side and if you flip it over a control side. This helps me with the games I play, I prefer the speed side for less complicated motion. This is a high quality mouse pad with all of the best features.

Logitech G9X Laser Mouse

This is the mouse I recommend for those who both game and work using mouse.

The first standout features of the G9X are the interchangeable grips. Users can opt for supreme comfort or great fingertip control. This is particularly handy when changing between computer tasks. Many users alternate between professional work and gaming, so they use both grips.

The on-board memory space is the next feature of note. Users can save up to 5 profiles, each with a different LED color, so you can effortlessly distinguish between them. This means if the mouse is used on a different laptop or computer, the mouse settings are automatically loaded without the need for software.

The G9X is as high-tech as it’s functional. This is a great mouse for all those personal pc users.

Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse

Some avid gamers find the shape of the G500 to be ideal. Your palm rests very comfortably on it.

All buttons are right when you need it, including the scroll wheel that pushes left or right. The hyper scrolling is well suited for web surfing. The shape of the G500 is perfect, with textured sides and nice contouring. The ring finger has a nice place to rest, and the palm grip is powerful and feels natural. Free mode and click mode may be used interchangeably, depending upon what you will be doing.

The performance of the G500 is the best. Users also have greater command over the mouse, which provides greater gaming functionality. Quite a nice mouse for that price.
