How to change the default snooze time on iPhone

iPhone users are probably no stranger to the snooze button (Snooze) that appears every time the alarm rings. Pressing this button repeatedly will allow you to snooze the alarm, prolonging the “golden dreams” by a few minutes.

By default, the alarm snooze time will be 9 minutes, a pretty odd number. While there is no direct method to change this snooze time, there are a few tricks that you can use. Find out below.

Tips to “modify” alarm delay time on iPhone

With that said, there is no official option for you to change the alarm snooze time in the app Clock (Clock) on iPhone, at least for now. But there are some tips that you can try.

The first way is to set up a series of multiple alarms at the same time. At this point, the interval between subsequent alarms after the original alarm is essentially the snooze time. For example, if you set your main alarm at 9 a.m. and want a snooze (snooze) time of 5 minutes, create another alarm for 9:05, and a follow-up alarm at 9 :10 am, etc.

In case you don’t want to set multiple alarms, another way to customize snooze time on iPhone is to use a third-party alarm app. There are both free and paid apps available for iPhone to choose from.

Customize snooze time by setting multiple alarms on iPhone

To set up multiple alarms and have each alarm act as a snooze landmark, first launch the app Clock (Clock) on your iPhone.

In the Clock app that appears, in the bottom menu bar, tap “alarm” (Alarm).

In the upper-right corner of the “Alarms” page, tap the “+” (plus sign) to add a new alarm.

Click on the “+” sign

You will see the screen “Add Alarm“(Add alarm). Here, set the snooze time. If your main alarm is set at 9am and you want a reminder to snooze in five minutes, set your next alarm at 9:05am. Remember to turn off the option “Snooze“(Report back) because you won’t need it anymore.

Turn off the “Snooze” option

After that, other options can be set, like alarm sound, alarm label, etc. Finally, save your alarm by tapping the “” button.Save” in the upper right corner.

Customize snooze time using a third-party app

There are a lot of third-party alarm apps developed for iPhone, and most of them provide the feature to set custom snooze time. Depending on your needs, you can use paid or free apps. If you just want to set a custom snooze time, then the free app is enough.

For example, you can try “Alarm Clock for Me”, a free alarm app for iPhone with custom snooze time setting. Usage is as follows:

Start by downloading and installing the Alarm Clock for Me app on your iPhone. To do this, open the App Store and search for the app name. Then click on the application in the returned list and press the “Get“(Receive).

Launch the application once it is installed. On the home screen of the app, tap the “+” (plus sign) to add a new alarm. If the app asks for any permission, give it permission so it can work.
