How to hide and delete comments in Word

Inserting comments in Word supports you in the process of handling documents with content that needs to be noted, or notes when collaborating with others. In the field you want to focus more on the Word document, or no longer use these notes, you can hide or delete the comment in Word. How to hide comments in Word

To hide comments in Word, you have 2 very different ways to do it.

Method 1: Turn off the display of comments in Word

In the Word document with comments inserted, click the Review tab and then select Show Comments to hide all existing comments in the document. If you want to display all comments in Word again, just click Show Comments.

The comment will then be hidden and will display comment icon in Word as shown below.

Method 2: Turn off Markup mode to hide comments in Word

If you want to hide comments including the comment icon in Word, you Click on the Review tablook down at the Tracking group and Click No Markup in the displayed list as shown below.

Immediately all comments in Word are hidden, including the comment icon in Word. To display the comment icon again in Word, just click on Simple Markup again to display the icon again.

Instructions for deleting comments in Word

By deleting comments in Word, you can delete a comment in Word, or delete all comments in Word.

1. Delete a comment in Word

To delete a comment in a specific wordyou click on that comment choose Delete to delete comments. With comment chains, you can also delete each comment if you want, or delete the comment chain in Word. If you want to delete a specific comment in this comment series, click on that comment and then press Delete.

2. Delete all comments in Word

To delete all comments in Word, click on the Review tab and then click on Delete Click Delete All Comments in Document. Immediately all comments in Word will be deleted from the current document.
