#first. Tools need to prepare?
- Pre-download an installation file (format *.ISO) of Windows Windows 8 or 8.1, You can go here to download the original windows installer.
- Install virtual drive software. Eg Ultraiso (Link backup) ..
- Create a separate partition to install windows 8 / 8.1 and minimum and 20GB offline (See instructions on how to divide the hard drive or the article on partitioning the hard drive with Partitions Winzard)
#2. Instructions to install Windows 7 in parallel with Windows 8 / 8.1
+ Step 1: You name the newly divided partition as Windows 8 and let the format be NTFS.
+ Step 2: Install the Ultraiso software and the software will automatically show us a virtual drive in My Conputer.
+ Step 3: The virtual drive just created will be in My Computer => you right click and select Mount => and select the path to the * .ISO file of Windows 8 you downloaded earlier. Or you can open the Ultraiso software and do the following:
Perform: Click select Mount to Virtual Driver => Next find iso file of Windows 8 or 8.1.
+ Step 4: Then press Mount Let the program extract the iso file to that virtual drive.
Please note that the installation file (* .iso) is not placed in a folder with Vietnamese accents. Because like that when Mount will error.
+ Step 5: After Mount done, you go to the virtual drive above => access the directory source => double click on the file setup.exe to start installing Windows 8 / 8.1 The Windows 8 installation process is going as usual.
You press Next to continue.
Choose Custom Installation to start the installation process.
The next step will ask you to choose a hard drive partition to install. You select the partition just now divided in that preparation step.
Next you press Next => Install. At this point, the necessary files will be copied to your computer and rebooted.
After restarting, the screen will show two options: Windows Setup and Windows 7, you choose Windows Setup to continue with the installation.
The rest of the program will happen automatically, such as copying installation data, identifying hardware devices …
