How to prevent websites from asking for location access in Safari on iPhone

In Safari, websites often try to ask you to give them access to your device’s location services, which can detect where you are and collect this information. If you find that annoying, you can actively prevent the browser from asking for location information, or disable the services specified for Safari. Here’s how to do it.

How to turn off location requests in Safari on iPhone and iPad

To get started, open the app”Settings“(Setting) on your iPhone or iPad. Scroll down and select “Safari“.

Select “Safari”

Scroll down until you see the “Settings For Websites“(Site settings). Click on the “Location“(Location) Inside.

Click on the item "Location”

Next, click select “Deny“(Refuse).

Select “Deny”

Safari will now automatically block websites from displaying prompts asking to access your location. However, it is quite unfortunate that Safari still does not allow users to create a white list of websites that can request location and vice versa. This feature may be added in the future.
