How to track weight with the Apple Health app on iPhone

You use an iPhone and want to monitor your body weight rigorously, scientifically over time, the integrated Health application developed by Apple itself will be a good assistant for you.

Enter weight information into the app

You can easily track your weight in the Health app, but by default this category can be a bit hard to find. To find your weight tracker, first open the Health app on your iPhone.

If you can’t find the app, swipe from the top edge near the center of the screen to reveal the search bar. Enter keywords “Health, then tap the corresponding app icon returned.

How to add a weight index to the Health app

To add your weight measurements to the Health app, open the app and navigate to the Weight page. Here, tap on “Add Data” (Add Data) in the upper right corner of the screen.

Click “Add Data”

When the card “Weight“appears, you can enter your current weight in the field”lbs” or “kg” (depending on the unit of measurement you use). You can also change the Date or Time to add more detailed information. When done, tap “Add“.

Your weight information will be entered into the Health app. Repeat this over time as needed, and you’ll begin to build a “store” of data that you can use to track your weight gain or loss. The Health application will help you create a chart to track your weight over a specific time period.

How to delete weight measurements in the Health app

If you make a mistake or just want to delete the weight data you entered in the Health app, first navigate to the weight overview screen. Then you scroll to the bottom and tap “Show All Data” (Show all data).

Next, you will see a list titled “All Recorded Data” (All Data Recorded), showing all your weight data over time. Click “Edit” (Edit) in the upper-right corner of the screen, then click the minus button (““) in red next to the item you want to delete.
