How to turn off saving watched YouTube videos

YouTube has a feature to save watched videos so that users can immediately know which videos they have watched or are not watching. This feature will help find videos, or suggest related videos. However, some people don’t need to use this feature and want to turn them off to get newer suggested YouTube videos. The following article will guide you to turn off saving watched YouTube videos.

Instructions to turn off saving watched YouTube videos

Step 1:

At the YouTube application interface, click personal profile picture in the top right corner of the screen.

Switch to the interface of the list of settings on the YouTube account, we click Settings.

Step 3:

Continuing in the new interface, users will see a number of different settings options for YouTube accounts, we click Watched Videos and Privacy.

Now you will see in the Delete search history group there option Pause saving watched video. We will need enable this feature to not show the YouTube videos I’ve watched anymore.

Then YouTube will send you a notice to note when you turn off the feature to save this watched video. Finally you tap Pause to turn off the mode.

The changes are immediately applied to YouTube in all different downloads, when you’re signed in to the same account.
