The 3D Models feature allows us to insert 3D objects into PowerPoint in an extremely simple way. And this feature is now available on PowerPoint 2019, 2021 and 365 versions.
All three versions above have 3D Models feature, but PowerPoint 365 is the best version, because it provides more specific types of motion effects that other PowerPoint versions do not have.
This is really a privilege and a favor of Microsoft for PowerPoint 365.
But if we want, we can still use the trick to be able to insert these characteristic motion effects into PowerPoint versions like 2019, 2021.. Specifically, we will export 3D objects from PowerPoint 365 to images animated GIF => then share with everyone.
Okay, now let’s do it together!
#first. How to create 3D animations with PowerPoint 365
+ Step 1: Start up PowerPoint 365
up => select Insert
=> choose 3D Models
=> choose Stock 3D Models
… (in case 3D objects are available in the device, please select This Device
… Please).
+ Step 2: Online 3D Models provides us with a lot of different 3D objects, but only those belonging to the group Animated
new special motion effects.
Here I will choose the object Octopus
in group Animated Animals
=> and choose Insert
+ Step 3: You double click on the inserted 3D object => observe and remember two fields of information Height
and Width
. The specific value for this object is Cao to be 4.14” and Width to be 4.01”
+ Step 4: Customize the size of the slide just clicked with the size of the 3D object
If you do not do this step, the output animation will take the size of the whole silde, so a lot of space will be redundant, not only increasing the size of the animation.
Perform: Choose Design
=> choose Slide Size
=> choose Custom Slide Size …
Dialog box Slide Size
appears, now enter the size of Width
and Height
equal to the dimensions noted in Bước 3
=> and choose OK
+ Step 5: The Microsoft PowerPoint dialog box appears, select Maximize
Complete Bước 5
we get the result as shown below (the size of the slide has been customized by the size of the object).
+ Step 6: Export 3D object to GIF animation
Choose File
=> choose Export
=> choose Create an Animated GIF
=> choose Extra Large
=> checkmark Make background transparent
=> choose Create GIF
Dialog box Save As
appears, select the save folder you want to save, name it => and select Save
done again.
As soon as you choose Save
then the software will start converting and exporting the image, this process is fast or slow depending on your computer configuration
