To enable convenient annotations for online video meetings on Google Meet, you can follow the instructions in the article

You can make it easier to keep track of what’s being said in meetings by enabling captions, which show the text of the conversation.

Note: If you record a video meeting, annotations are not recorded and do not appear when you play the recording.

At the bottom of the Meet window, click Enable Subtitles Turn on captions or Turn off subtitles Turn off captions.

Tip: If the caption is covered by your call controls, click anywhere else in the Meet window to dismiss them.
