Packaging and Unboxing

 

OCZ Vertex4 comes in nice black box . On the box we can all the general features are mentioned which we think are quite good step towards packaging . Because in this way consumer can actually see what the company is offering in product . One thing which is to be noticed very well is that the ” INDILINX ” logo at the top right ,
Yes OCZ this particular SSD use INDILINX controller and not Sandforce which we usually see .

 

After Opening the box , There is another black box inside in it with a flip . The rest of the component is placed inside this black cover box .

The accessories included in the box are following :

  • Installation Guide and Warranty Info
  • A SSD Sticker
  • Some screws to mount the SSD
  • 2.5″ to 3.5″ Mounting Adapter

Also included in the box is the OCZ Vertex4 itself . OCZ Vertex4 is wrapped in antistatic wrap to prevent from any kind of shop during the shipment .

Closer look at the OCZ Vertex4

 

The OCZ Vertex4 is very well made , The overall built quality of the SSD is amazing . Moreover the look is very enthusiastic and will go very nicely in any of gaming machine or even in enterprise . The OCZ Vertex4 is powered by INDILINX which is used second time after using this particular controller in OCZ Octane SSD .

 

On the back of the SSD there are connecters for the SATA Data and for the Power to run this SSD .

 

 

Benchmark and Performance

 

The rig we will be using today for testing OCZ Vertex4 128 GB SSD is ,

  • Intel Core i7 2600K CPU
  • ASUS P8Z68 V PRO
  • 8GB Patriot Memory RAM
  • OCZ Vertex4 128 GB SSD  ( OS )

 

The results for ATTO Disk Benchmark , Crystal Disk , HD Tune , AS SSD are below .

 

 

In the End ( Conclusion )

 

The best performance feature of the OCZ Vertex 4 is that it performs great and equally no matter the data that is being transferred or utilized. This is something that no other or very few drives can boast about. SO, in that regards its has one of the best overall data transfer ratios on the market. This is something that can say about all the Vertex models we have tested.

The Vertex 4 has a five year warranty making it one of the longest warranties available for a solid state drive. And with OCZ and Indilinx in partnership, updates are quicker to get.

 

Also the delivery scope of this SSD , is amazing the plus point is the Adapter which is provided which can be used in older casing to mount SSD .
