Windows 11 brings a new user interface, which comes with a host of features and changes that have a profound effect on the user experience. However, not every innovation is justified.

Microsoft’s response: Thank you very much for your feedback. Microsoft will continue to use your feedback to guide the future of such features. But now on Windows 11, you can also right-click the Start menu button to quickly open the Task Manager. Also you can also press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open Task Manager directly.

3. Update the feature to put pinned applications in groups/folders in the Windows 11 Start menu (11,115 times agree).

Microsoft’s response: Currently, dragging files to an application in the taskbar to open in that application is not supported on Windows 11. But we appreciate all your feedback and will continue to use it to help identify direction for the future of similar features. Now you can start dragging the file, press ALT+Tab, open the window you want to drag the file to, and drop inside that window to open the file faster. Thank you!

5. Updates the Windows 11 taskbar to remove the ability to combine application icons and display labels (10,064 agree).

Microsoft’s response: Thank you for your opinion! We’re rolling this out with Build 22509, now in the Dev Channel.

8. Removed TPM requirement in determining eligibility to use Windows 11 (7,801 times agree).

9. I want to be able to turn off the Recommended section of the Start menu, and make the whole area disappear in Windows 11 (7,787 times agree).

Microsoft’s response: Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion. Currently, turning off the entire Recommended area in the Start menu is not possible. Instead, you can just hide the content.

Additionally, we’ve created a new layout for the Start menu that allows users to reduce the size of the Recommended area with Build 22509, now available in the Dev Channel.

ten. I would like to have the option to disable the news item in the Widget (7,481 times agreed).
