- When you search for a name, it will show you the names of people that match the query. Click the username for which you want to recover the message. That’s it, you can read the message again with them.
- If you want to restore the chat permanently, send them a random message. So the hidden chat will return to the regular chat list.
How to show request messages on Messenger.com
To recover a ignored chat on Messenger Web, you need to drill down into the Spam folder. To access Spam and move an ignored chat out of it, you’ll first have to go to Messenger.com, click on your profile picture, and go to ‘Request a message.’
To unhide messages on web messenger.com, you need to do the following steps:
- Go to messenger.com and click on the ellipsis icon next to the avatar.
- Click Messages Requests. Here click on the chat you want to unhide, select reply. If you want to move this conversation back to the regular chat list, please reply to the message.
How to hide message requests on Facebook.com
Similar to web Messenger.com, you will also find the requested message in the Messages Requests section.
- Go to Facebook.com and click the Messenger icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click the ellipsis icon on the top menu of the screen.
- Select Messages Request.
- Here you will find the message waiting list. To return this message to the regular chat list, simply resend a message to this account.
