Preview Pane is the mode that allows Preview text files, images, PDF, Word or Excel…. on Win 7/8 / 8.1 and Windows 10 without having to open the file by double-clicking. I see this is a very good feature available on the Windows operating system, but very few people are using it and making full use of its power.

Maybe it’s because you don’t know or don’t like to use it, but whatever the reason, after reading this article, I think you’ll think twice ?

Why should you use Preview mode on Windows?

There are many compelling reasons to change your mind and enjoy this feature, for example:

  • Save a lot of time to search for files, view the contents of the file.
  • You don’t have to open the file to view the contents of the file.
  • Can restrict virus (if unfortunately the file is infected with virus). Simply because you don’t need to double-click to open the file ?
  • In some cases Word, Excel, PDF… files. Error can not be opened, but with mode Preview This you can still see the above content in.
  • Viewing contents in files very quickly, this is the main feature of Preview mode ?
