How to sign out of YouTube on iOS phones
- Tap your profile picture icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- In Accounttap your name or email.
- Click on the text Use YouTube signed out to use YouTube even when signed out.
After clicking on the above option, you will be redirected back to the YouTube homepage. Here, you can still watch the video, but you can’t do some YouTube actions like interacting on the video or saving the video to a playlist.
How to sign out of YouTube on Android phones
Unlike on iOS, when you sign out of the YouTube app on Android, your account will sign out of any Google apps on that device (like Google Maps and Gmail). You will need to enter your password to log in again. Alternatively, if you don’t want to watch YouTube on that account, choose to watch YouTube on a private YouTube page.
