What is Airpay? Complete guide on how to use Airpay wallet

The Covid-19 epidemic makes users tend to shop and pay online. This is the era of e-wallets ascending the throne.

In previous posts, I introduced wallets like Zalo Pay, Moca, ViettelPay… let’s continue the series of e-wallets with Airpay in this article.

What is Airpay?

Airpay is a mobile e-wallet application that meets all payment needs quickly with high information security.

AirPay is a product of AirPay Joint Stock Company, licensed to provide intermediary services No. 29/GP-NHNN issued by the State Bank on December 16, 2015.

You can use Airpay wallet to transfer money, pay bills and pay for other shopping and entertainment services.

Instructions on how to create an Airpay account

You can download the Airpay APP for iOS and Android at the Apple Store or Play Store.

After the download is successful, you open the APP and start creating an account.

Step 1: Enter phone number → Continue.

Step 2: Verification code will be sent to SMS. You enter in the empty box to move to the next step.

Step 1: Open APP → Me → Click to select avatar or phone number.

Here:

• You can change Avatar.
• Set a nickname by choosing settings.
• Set up your AirPay ID (a unique identifier of your brother and this code is unchanged after registration).

Email link

Enter email address → Verify email address → Check mail and select confirm.

Verify information

​You need to enter some information as follows:

• Information about ID card
• ID number
• Issued by
• Date Range
• Expiration Date (Optional)
• Personal information
• Full name
• Date of birth
• Address
• Your permanent address

After entering, click continue.

Download photos of the front and back of the ID card and then next.

Your information needs about 24 hours to confirm.

Instructions to link AirPay account with bank card

Step 1: Select wallet → You can link your credit/debit card bank account → Add link → Select a bank.

Step 2: After that, press the install now button to set the order password → Enter your full name and ID number → Continue → You set the order password (6 digits) → Select the link now.

Finally, you enter your bank i-banking account and press the view button to check the information and done!

Note: Only bank accounts using internet banking, online payment or SMS banking services are eligible to link cards.

How to top up AirPay wallet

There are three ways to top up your AirPay wallet: Top up from a linked bank, top up via a payment authorization form at a bank’s counter & top up via Internet Banking.

Hereafter, I will​Instructions on how to top up your AirPay wallet:

Method 1: Top up from the linked bank

Step 1: Enter the balance on the screen.

Step 2: Select deposit.

Step 3: Enter the amount to deposit and select Next.

Step 4: Choose to deposit from the linked bank card.

Step 5: Click deposit. Accomplished!

Method 2: Recharge via Internet Banking

Step 1: Select the display of money in the wallet.

Step 2: Select deposit.

Step 3: Choose another deposit method.

Step 4: Select e-banking.

Step 5: Select a bank and enter the amount to deposit.

Step 6: Check the information and select continue.

Step 7: Enter payment information including: Cardholder’s name, card number, card validity and payment.

Step 8: OTP authentication.

Note: Your bank account must be registered for internet banking service to be able to do this.

Method 3: Top up AirPay at the bank counter

You go to the bank’s transaction counter and ask for a payment authorization order to top up your AirPay wallet. The teller will give you a slip and guide you to fill in the information.
