As you all know, File Explorer or Windows Explorer is a file manager on Windows operating system.
Through File Explorer, you can easily access files, folders and hard drive partitions on your computer.
However, many of you are still not satisfied with this default file manager from Microsoft, so there are quite a few third-party software available.
And recently, I found out a pretty cool free software, and it’s completely free. Refer to try it, if you find it useful to you, you can download it to experience the test.
#first. Download the latest Q-Dir software
- Homepage: www.softwareok.com
- Download Q-Dir 32 bit and Q-Dir 64 bit / Link backup. Note that you should choose the installation version corresponding to the version of Windows that you are using.

#2. Installing and Using Q-Dir (File Explorer replacement software)
+ Step 1: First, unzip the file you just downloaded => then double click on the file Q-Dir_Installer_UC.exe to start the installation.
The first interface window appears, you set up as shown below => and select Install to start the installation.
+ Step 2: Check it I accept the agreement to agree to the terms of use of the software.
+ Step 3: The software installation process is very fast, and this is the main interface of this software.
Very intuitive and easy to operate. As you can see, the software is divided into 4 windows.
You can open each window as a folder, partition … this is great for copying or needing to work with multiple files at the same time.
By default, the software is divided into 4 as shown above, but if you want to display a different style, for example the column type below, you can click on the icons as shown below.
