How to hide Instagram even when you’re online

Just like hiding your Facebook nick when you’re online, with Instagram you can also hide your nick even when we’re online so that no one knows and Instagram messages annoy you. Users only need to change the active status on the Instagram application to turn off the online status on Instagram. Instructions to hide Instagram when online on the phone

Step 1:

At the interface on Instagram you click personal icon below to switch to the personal Instagram interface. In the next interface you will click on 3 dashes icon.

Step 2:

Display the interface of options, the user will click Setting in the list as shown below.

Step 3:

At the interface of the settings for your personal Instagram account, we click Privacy section. Next to the user tap customize Active Status to change the online status of Instagram.

Step 4:

To turn off online status on Instagram then we will turn off Display operation status mode to hide your Instagram nick from the people you’re following and who you’ve messaged.

So the Instagram account will no longer show the blue online icon every time we use Instagram

How to hide Instagram when online on PC

Step 1:

We log into our Instagram account on the computer and then you Click on the profile picture it’s mine select Settings.

Step 2:

Switch to the settings interface for your personal Instagram account. In the list on the left of the interface, click Privacy and Security section.

Step 3:

You look at the interface right next to it, we find Activity Status and uncheck Show Activity Status. Immediately new changes will be saved to your Instagram account.

So when you are online, there will be no notification to let others know. But users should note that we will not know the active status of other Instagram accounts, unless you turn on the online status display mode when using Instagram.
