Rumors about the iPhone 12 will have a 120Hz screen were once again “confirmed” in the iOS 14 Beta update.
Earlier this week, Apple officially launched iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 during the WWDC 2020 event held at dawn on June 23. Besides, the company also released the Public Beta update of iOS 14 for developers.
Some people installed it and found quite a few interesting features that Apple didn’t mention at the launch event. Among them, there is a setting option located in the Accessibility section, the Motion section will allow users to “limit” the frame rate displayed on the iPhone screen to 60fps.
This detail raises a big question mark, because even the latest iPhone 11 Pro Max now only uses a 60Hz refresh rate screen. Is this proof that the iPhone 12 will be equipped with a 120Hz screen, at least for the high-end versions?
More importantly, this option does not appear on all iPhone models that are on the list of supported devices to upgrade to iOS 14. Therefore, the most logical answer is that the upcoming iPhone will be equipped with screen technology. Looks like an iPad Pro.
Previously, there were also some rumors saying that 120Hz screens will be equipped on the most advanced versions of iPhone 12. And the presence of “Limit Frame Rate” feature on iOS 14. seems to have “implicitly confirmed” the above rumor to be true.
