What is Revert Site?

Revert Site is a safe, lightweight and simple web browser add-on / extension that can be installed in seconds and helps to restore old-style Facebook designs / layouts.

Once installed, Revert Site makes Facebook think you’re using an old browser, so it will show you the old Facebook design. From there, any Facebook page you load will open following the old style Facebook design / layout. (If you have any Facebook pages open, just reload them to see the changes.)

Help get back the old Facebook look

Revert Site allows you to redesign your old Facebook page with a blue bar at the top. It makes Facebook think you’re using an outdated browser, so Facebook will show you the old design instead of the new one, while also preventing Facebook from turning you back into the new design.

Quick installation, easy to use

Revert Site installs very quickly and is extremely easy to use, it has only one option enabled by default, so you just need to install this add-on and not have to configure anything. However, if you want to temporarily disable Revert Site, you can easily do so by clicking the extension icon, in the browser extension toolbar, then unchecking the checkbox. “Switch back to the old Facebook design”. To reactivate, just tick the checkbox.

If you can’t find the button Revert Site (R) in the extension’s toolbar, it might be hidden behind the button with the puzzle piece icon, so click on that button and see if it’s there.

Some note

Revert Site cannot revert the newsfeed because Facebook redirects it to the mobile version of Newsfeed (m.facebook.com). Messager also seems to have a problem. However, nearly all other pages will revert back to the old Facebook design (eg Pages, Personal profiles, Groups, etc ..).

Please also note if you have any problems with chat / messaging / video and voice chat on Facebook page when this extension is installed, as an alternative you can load the messaging website. Facebook supplemental news, messenger.com, in a new tab to make video or voice calls and texting / chatting on Facebook.

If you find that there are any parts of the website that are not working as option Revert enabled, turn this off while you do your tasks, then turn it back on when you’re done to go back to the old page.
