4 ways to share location on iPhone

Sometimes people’s rendezvous is hard to describe, or you don’t know exactly where. You can send places directly to people without having to describe too much.

How to turn on location services on an iPhone

Before sharing your location with anyone, make sure your location is turned on.

1. Open the app Settings (Settings).
2. Choose Private (Privacy) > Location Services.
3. Turn on Location Services (Location Services).

If you want to continuously share the location with a person over a period of time, click Share My Location (Share My Location) and turn it on.

1. How to send and share location via Messages

1. Open a message with the person you want to share your location with.
2. Tap the top of the screen, there’s a picture of the person you’re messaging with.
3. Click on the information icon (letter ) “i” in a circle) and select a location you want to share with.

• • If you want to share your current location, click Send My Current Location.
  • If you want to share the place for a while, click Share My Location (Share My Location) and choose when you want your location to appear.

Then press Done (Done).

2. How to share location with a phone subscriber

You can share your location using the Contacts app.

1. Open the app Contacts (Contacts).
2. Find the person you want to share your location with and tap the contact.
3. Click Share My Location (Share My Location) and choose how long you want your location to be displayed.

3. How to share location via Google Maps

If you have the Google Maps app open, you can share your location directly from here.

1. Open Google Maps.
2. Click green dot showing your location (if you don’t see it, click arrow in the bottom right to find the current location).
3. In the menu that appears, press Share My Location (Share My Location). Select the time you want the place to be visible.
4. Select each person in the list you want to share.

When finished, press the . button Share (Share) in the right corner.

4. How to share location via Apple Maps

Apple Maps also allows you to share locations, but the process is a bit different from Google Maps.

1. Open Apple Maps.
2. Click green dot indicate your location (if you don’t see it, click arrow in the upper right corner to find).
3. In the menu that appears, select Share My Location (Share My Location).
4. Select the app you want to use to share your location and use the app to choose who you want to share with.
