How to Adjust Equalizer on iPhone and iPad

Apple’s Music app has a built-in equalizer setting on iPhone and iPad. You can use these EQ settings whether you’re an Apple Music subscriber, buying songs from iTunes, or listening to music files that pass manually.

Unfortunately, there is no option to set up your own EQ profile. Apple offers many different presets. How to choose EQ preset for Music app

To get started, open the app Settings and scroll down to options Music, then click on it.

Next, scroll down and then tap EQ.

On iOS 12.1.4, the available options are Acoustic, Bass Booster, Bass Reducer, Classical, Dance, Deep, Electronic, Flat, Hip Hop, Jazz, Late Night, Latin, Loudness, Lounge, Piano, Pop, R&B, Rock, Small Speakers, Spoken Word, Treble Booster , Treble Reducer and Vocal Booster.

The thing to keep in mind is that this option only affects songs played through the Music app. Songs from Apple Music and music loaded or purchased through iTunes will have these settings applied, but Spotify, Tidal, and other services will not.

If you want to use the equalizer with other services, find the EQ option in that application or service. If an app doesn’t offer an EQ option, you can’t activate EQ for music played through that app.
