How to create and edit notes on iPhone

If you need to quickly jot something down on your phone, the Notes app is the fastest and most useful tool. This is a built-in application on iPhone, iPad and Mac. With Notes, you can write thoughts, draft ideas, or save a piece of text or even an image or sketch in any situation.

If you use iCloud, everything is synced in the background and accessible from any Apple device (as long as you’re signed in to the same account).

Here’s how to create notes on iPhone and iPad, and how to edit, move, delete, and restore notes.

How to create a new note

1. Open the app Notes (Notes) from the home screen or search through Spotlight.

2. Click create new note icon bottom right corner of the screen.

3. Click anywhere to bring up the keyboard and start writing.

4. Press the button Accomplished in the upper left corner to save the note and exit edit mode.

5. Click create new note button again if you want to start writing another note quickly.

How to edit available recordings

1. Open the app Notes (Notes).

2. Click the note you want to edit.

3. Click anywhere in the note to bring up the keyboard and start editing.

4. Press Accomplished to save notes.

How to move notes to a new folder

If you have written a note but want to move it to another folder, follow the steps below.

1. Open the app Notes (Notes).

2. Click the folder containing the note you want to move.

3. Swipe to the left of the note you want to transfer to reveal three option icons. Choose folder icon between.

4. Select the folder you want to move the note to.

How to delete notes

1. Open the app Notes (Notes).

2. Select a note you want to delete.

3. Swipe left on that note to select trash can icon.

If you want to delete multiple notes at once, follow these steps:

1. Click three dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

2. Click on the “option”Select a note“.

3. Tick the notes you want to delete.

4. Select Erase in the lower right corner of the screen.

These notes will be in the folder Recently deleted. After 30 days, the notes contained herein will be permanently deleted if not restored.

How to recover deleted notes

1. Open the app Notes (Notes).

2. Select a folder Recently deleted.

3. Swipe left notes you want to restore.

4. Select folder icon and select the folder where you want to save the recovery notes.

5. Click trash can icon if you want to delete the note completely.
