How to rate apps in the Apple App Store

Note: This article is written based on iOS 13 operating system, but the steps are also applicable to iOS 11 and iOS 12. For earlier iOS versions, the basic idea is the same, but will be There is a slight difference in implementation.

How to rate apps in the Apple App Store

To rate an app in the App Store, follow these steps:

1. On an iOS or iPadOS device, tap the app App Store to open it.

2. Tap your photo (or the icon, if you haven’t added it yet) in the upper-right corner of the screen.

3. Press Purchased.

4. Tap the app you want to rate.

5. Scroll down to section Ratings & Reviews.

6. Tap the number of stars you want to rate the app. Your review is automatically saved and submitted.

Note: If you’ve added an incorrect review or changed your mind, you can return to the app at any time and update your rating.

7. You can also press Write a Review to record a written review for the application. Add an optional title and write your review then press Send to add a review.

Note: There is no way to review iOS or iPad apps from the desktop after Apple killed iTunes as of macOS Catalina (10.15). However, if you’re running a version of macOS that still includes iTunes, you can rate apps in the App Store section of iTunes.

How to rate an app within the app itself

In some apps, you also have the opportunity to leave a review from the app itself. Not every app has this feature.
