How to turn off the red notification on Status Bar when recording iPhone screen

To record iPhone screen videos, from iOS 11 onwards, users can use the built-in Screen Recording feature without installing other applications. However, when recording video, it will always display a red message on the top of the screen by default, at the Status Bar so that the user knows that he has entered the recording mode. Even on iPhone X, there is a notification with the time the video is recording. So what if you want to turn off the red notification on the iPhone screen when recording a video?

Instructions to turn off the red notification for iPhone video recording

The red message on the screen interface when recording video on iPhone will be as shown below.

Step 1:

To turn off the red notification when recording the screen, we will install the SilentRecorder tweak, with jailbroken iOS 11 devices. Users can search for tweaks on Cydia or directly access the link below.

Step 2:

After the installation is complete, the user accesses Settings, click SilentRecorder to proceed to customize the tweak.

At the tweak interface you will see there are 4 different options to turn off notifications on iPhone, including red screen recording notifications.

• Hide Recorder Indicator: Removes the red screen recording notification bar.
• Hide Recorder Icon in CC: Removes the screen recording button on Control Center.
• Hide Location Indicator: Removes the blue location service indicator bar.
• Hide Call Indicator: Removes the green call indicator bar.

Want to turn off any notification on the iPhone screen, just slide the circle button to the right to activate it.

However, users should note, if the red notification is turned off, when recording a video, the iPhone screen will not show any notifications. If the user accidentally turns on the recording mode, they will not know the video is being recorded.
