How to use Opera’s Flow to connect open tabs on computers and phones

A few months ago, the developer Opera Software released an interesting product Opera Neon. And now, they’ve released the Opera Touch browser designed specifically for mobile phones. Currently Opera Touch only has an Android version.

Opera Touch offers the Flow feature, which allows you to sync open websites, images, and videos between mobile devices and desktop computers. For the Flow feature to work, you must connect Opera Touch on your mobile phone to Opera Desktop on your PC.

Download and install Opera Touch on your Android device, then open the browser. Click > Settings, select Connect to the computer.

On the next window, tap Scan QR code.

Install the latest version of the Opera browser on the desktop. Click the Flow icon in the left menu bar (it looks like a paper airplane), then tap Reveal the code to get the QR code.

When the QR code appears as below, you bring your phone camera in front of the QR code on your computer’s Opera to scan. So Opera Touch is connected to Opera Desktop.

You can now browse the website on one device using the Opera browser and tap the Flow icon in the address bar. The link will be sent quickly to all connected devices. At the same time, you can send and receive images, videos, and more.

On Opera for desktop, you’ll see notifications on the Flow icon in the sidebar. Click this icon to see all notifications about links, images, videos… sent. On Opera for mobile, these notifications will appear on the screen, tap on them to open Opera Touch.

The Flow feature uses an encrypted connection. This is a very secure way to share sitelinks between your devices, it’s also easier than sending the link through chat apps and then opening it on another device. This is useful when you want to watch a video on your desktop screen, or when you want to print something but the printer is only connected to the computer.
