Lesson 46: How to use Cell Style to decorate Cells in Excel

Quickly format a cell by selecting cell style in Excel. You can also create cell styles(cell style) of its own.

How to use Cell Style in Excel

first. For example, select cell B2 below.

2. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, you can select the cell style you want.

To create your own cell style, perform the following steps.

3. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click the down arrow on the right.

Here you can find more cell styles.

4. Select New Cell Style.

5. Enter a name and click the Format button to choose Number Format, Alignment, Font, Border, Fill and Protection.

6. Click OK.

7. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, apply your own cell style.

Result.

Note: Right-click a cell style to edit or delete it. Editing a cell style affects all cells in the workbook that use that cell style. This can save a lot of time.
