Snapchat is investing heavily in promoting its new Spotlight feature, with a $1 million daily bounty for those who post the best content. Spotlight is described as a competitor of TikTok as it also allows users to create the same type of content.
Snapchat will reward people with popular Spotlight content
With Spotlight, users can create short videos with a maximum length of 60 seconds and edit videos with tools such as subtitles, music, AR filters, GIFs, hashtags… Snapchat named the feature. This feature is Spotlight because it is designed to highlight highly entertaining videos from all users, regardless of their number of followers or their influence. However, videos with health content are given top priority.

In order to meet its goal of building a healthy content sharing community, the company has set some limits on how content must follow the company’s guidelines and terms. Additionally, Spotlight content will be moderated and no public comment will be allowed.
Initially, Spotlight will be rolled out in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and France. Snapchat has mentioned that other countries will be added to the list soon, but they didn’t say exactly when or which countries will be supported.
Snapchat users viewing Spotlight content can bookmark their favorite content or send it to friends and family. Under Snap’s payment terms, all users who like content contribute to the amount the content creator ultimately receives from Snap, so be sure to stick your heart out for the content you love.
If you are located in the countries listed above, simply update Snapchat and select Spotlight on the right side of the bottom navigation bar to experience this new feature. Note that only users 16 years of age or older are eligible to monetize Spotlight content.
